This article is very interesting, not just from an FC Goa standpoint but from a ISL overall standpoint.
First off, surprised Zico still is adamant about bringing in a foreign goalkeeper. Kattimani is not amazing but I guess the competition from a foreign keeper wouldn't do him harm at all. Surprised the source said that Raju Gaikwad and Debabrata Roy impressed the staff, especially Raju who made a lot of mistakes this season that lead to goals against Goa.
Article also pretty much confirms that there are great intentions to not only expand the ISL but make it longer by next season.
For the 2017 -18 Calendar. The ISL, League 1(I-League) and League 2 will be played parallel. This will be spread over 5 months.
For the 2018 -19 Calendar. The ISL, League 1(I-League) and League 2 will be played parallel. This will be spread over 7 months. Matches to be played on weekends only.
I doubt it is 100% done and I prefer they keep saying "nothing is done" until it is 100% done. They probably have a concrete idea of what the structure will be but still need certain other things complete so until that is done they should continue just saying nothing
