• I like to remind Varun that Churchill Bros FC is not owned by any corporate. It is the only family club in India owned by Churchill Alemao and his brothers.

I-league is the national league of indai and not a league of corporates, families, communities....a real national league shud be the regional based leagues...take any big national leagues as example and u can see wats happpening there....!!!

See let me it make clear- for regionwise there is the santosh trophy to take care. Even if Goa has 4 teams in ileague and still have plans to induct 2 more teams in the next season one should be really proud of Goa for keeping Indian football alive ofcourse not forgetting Kolkata. You want only one team from Goa and Kolkata. Its just suicidal one just cant compare other national leagues with Indian league cause football in India is practically non-existent except the regions the present ileague teams come from. And please dont give example of Pune FC. cause it is owned by a Bengali and its major fan base are Goans and Bengalis staying in Pune.

lol....dont say that pune fc followers are from goa/ kolkatta....these guys dont follow other clubs as far as i know...and at least 10-15 friends from pune are marathis and they are some diehard fans...even if ur so called goan/kolkatta guys like pune fc ,they may be doing it for the fact that it represents the city where they dwell and which they love...
another important fact is the avg attendance of pune fc home matches will surely be higher than that from a a city which has 4 clubs and is located in western india...i guess its name is goa...which itself is the fact that public need some real clubs whom they can associate...and the need of hour is more involvement from public which is not available from current i-league which has 8 clubs from goa+kolkatta itself...

There are lot of factors why not so many people from Goa does not come to watch a football match in the stadium and i have discussed it in the earlier post. And dont you dare question my support for Pune FC. We Goans love football and are ready to support any team which plays good football. And so also Marathi is also the official language of Goa, and there are Goans who speak Marathi but support Pune FC.

all i am saying is dont think that only goan or kolkatta ppl only support indian football,....there are also people from other part who follow indian football... clubs like pune fc help exploring these fan base...so is we want a league which helps cover fans from other region too....not the current one where tv audience find it less lively due to lack of fan support in the ground...

he he...biggest joke of the decade!! how can santhosh trophy be considered as our national league though its a regional based tournament....?? if so, we had a similar level tourny called ranji trophy in cricket....so, why wud BCCI go for an city based IPL if they already had a historic ranji trophy in place??? if its a national premier league, it should be city based and different from all other leagues and thats wats happening in every nation if not european, atleast take some asian nations as examples....take japan, korea, australia...all these have a new city based franchise league.....and is quite successfull and popular too...and these nations also had something similar to i-league which is more a corporate clubs leagues which hardly had any followers.....but, see where they have reached in every single feild of footballing?? so, no meaning in showing ant regrets and shud accept the facts...!! and we have talents and fans in goa and kolkata and that doesnt mean we dont have fans in any other states other than bengal and goa.....!! if u want to see the fans following football in regions other than bengal and goa, check out the above pics.....and for no doubt we have football following in a lot more centres in india......and hello?? wat u just said about pune?? i myself hav a lot more punaikars born and living in pune following pune fc with such commitment...so, dont just make your own conclusions that a side from pune is also supported by fans who has bengali or goan roots....!! and, with ur feelings, i must say that u only want goans and kolkata to play footbqall and enjoy its passion...!! u think that kolkata and goa form the indian fans...am myself from kerala and am i not a football fan...and if am one, there any many a million more like me ...and they are neither bengalis nor goans....!! so, wat u just saying to support ur part is totally senseless!!

we dont need any unfaithfull fans who supports any club who plays better football...this aint any sunday leagues...wat we really need is some enthusiastic and faithful fans and that also for a single club, more probably the city where u live in...!!
