India on track and FC Pune City initiated the trial even when Mandar will not feature for them in upcoming ISL season .
Gaurav Modwel CEO FCPC and Chairman, IOT said, "FC Pune City and India on Track have a relationship with VIllarreal and selected Mandar dispassionately as a deserving youngster irrespective of his current club. We felt that it will be good for Indian football."
Modwel also reflected on the relationship with VIllarreal saying the partnership was broad, encompassing various aspects of which providing opportunities to young talents is one.
That's called country ahead of the club. That's total development of football. Opportunities irrespective of caste, creed, colour. LOL.
Football is growing in India but the govt. of India still does not provide fair opportunities. Tables turned?
Gaurav Modwel CEO FCPC and Chairman, IOT said, "FC Pune City and India on Track have a relationship with VIllarreal and selected Mandar dispassionately as a deserving youngster irrespective of his current club. We felt that it will be good for Indian football."--How can you have a relationship with someone and still be dispassionate? ...But on a serious note, a very altruistic move by FC Pune City.
FCPC went all out to sign Mandar Rao Desai and others from FC Goa.... Gaurav Modwell has emerged as the " Churchill Aleamo" of ISL in terms of bumping up players prices beyond their market value.
This seems a desperate attempt by IoT to get some positive publicity when their Arsenal Soccer Schools program are bombing as badly as FCPC attendances.
