Blackburn make offer for Freiburg's Cisse

Bundesliga club Freiburg confirmed today that they have been contacted by Premier League club Blackburn Rovers with a view to the transfer of Senegalese international Papiss Demba Cisse.

"I can confirm that Blackburn have made us an offer," Freiburg sporting director Dirk Dufner told the bi-weekly kicker without revealing the sum.

Dufner also revealed that Cisse, second in the Bundesliga scoring charts with 22 goals, had also been watched by Arsenal and Liverpool.

Freiburg, seventh in the Bundesliga, are demanding a minimum €15m for the 25-year-old recruited in January 2010 from French second division side Metz for €1.5m.

The big mistake that Venky's Blackburn made was sacking the coach Sam Allardyce(correct me if i spell wrong) in middle of the season.
He was doing well.
