That article is rubbish and I say that without the bias that I actually like the ISL. I mean, at one point he questions how Atletico de Kolkata can't fill the "26,000 seater Rabindra Sarobar Stadium" when that stadium only has a capacity for ISL of 12,000 and they have gotten numbers close to 11,000 for both matches. Top notch journalism there.
He provides all this good data for season one but then says these numbers have fallen for season three without providing the new numbers. How can you make that assertion, which I don't doubt, without any numbers to back yourself?
And his opinion on the football is rather bad. The best players have not even been the oldies but guys like Doutie (27), Javi Lara (30), Alfaro (28), Marcelinho (29), Defederico (27), and Mulder (29) are the ones making the noise this season as well as some older players. And the game is actually not that slow, unless you are a fan who only watches the Premier League and expects that quality everywhere else. The game is what it is in ISL and it is not that bad.
Look, season three was always going to be a tougher sell than both season one and two but ffs, it is not this rubbish festival that people claim it to be. This is just people putting the league to such stupid expectations without realizing that this league won't be like the Premier League... hell, won't be the Championship, at first. This happened in season one and two and now in three. Nothing new.
