This is what you get from most of the goalkeeper coaches. Stupid decision from day one. Why one earth this coach was employed is still beyond my comprehension. A mediocre coach with kitchee fc. messing up things here too.

MM is a Mourinho clan prodigy, Mourinho created the siege mentality when under pressure to perform and that's exactly what MM is trying to do too. Expected this.

The reason for CFC being outside the top 4 has always been the fault of MM, Despite the frequency of the games you cannot tinker too much with the squad. Wholesale changes in the playing squad is not always good.

If there is a formation that works for 2 years don't change it unless you can improve it.

Hoping we pickup 6 points out of 9 to qualify now. Atleast 4 points dropped across the season due to mistakes.

Weird that ATK fans think they should have got more than a Point in this game. Point is a the most they could have expected in this game after the pummelling they received in the second half could have easily lost the match. After this match they have an away match against a struggling FC Goa and two straight home matches, They have an easier route to top 4 than most other teams.

If you've followed the game you will understand Kolkata were bombarded with attacks because of Molina strategy. Chennai just gladly accepted the opportunity. Thumbs up for them.

So a victory for Pune City on Tuesday and a victory by Atletico de Kolkata on Thursday could knockout FC Goa from finals contention. Add in Chennaiyin FC winning on Wednesday and we will have a very exciting ending to the league season.
  • I think if u compare the Indian players of ATK with the top 4/5 guys, u would realise that the Indian players of these teams are a notch above than those of ATK's and they are making the difference between winning and losing. By and large the 5 foreigners in all all the 8 teams are of the same qlty.( if someone like a Malouda or Alfaro is very good, then few of the other jokers like Traore/Dudu more than offset it up with their stupid game sense). Its the remaining 6 Indian players who may not have the individual brilliance to pull it through, but can contribute significantly to a team's winning/losing cause.

This is where I think ATK has lost out. Arnab, Robert, Kenan, Kotal, Prabir has been below par in the defence; and barring Kenan, the others are regular to this team and all have been a complete failure. I know many of u would talk about Prabir - but honestly he doesn't looks to be even an ISL material. He knows his limits, doesn't have the confidence to go for overlaps(lest he would be overpowered by strong foreigners/lose possession and he might not be able to fall back against counter attacks); thats a typical Sanjoy Sen approach and it is showing in his game.

In the midfield, u have a one legged Dika(who is getting starts in almost every match, despite doing nothing!) and at times a Bikramjit and "Jewel" (no pun intended!) Raja as a substitute Thats it and noone else!

In the attacking line u have Ruidas only - who hasn't even established himself at the club level!!!!!

Debjit has been the only revelation amongst all the Indian players in ATK team.

So, if the "Seths" have restricted their Indian purchase to Kolkata Maidan, the results are inevitable!

Whereas, if u see the other teams (even the last boys like NE and Goa), they have a better bunch of Indian players than ATK and they are playing fearlessly to make a mark for them (many haven't been signed by I-League clubs so far); while all the ATK boys have a "stable job" post ISL, hence not pushing themselves much.

  • @ArsenalFan700 if FC Goa draw the game against ATK, they are out irrespective of other results.
  • @7negi Looks like Marco is on his way out. In this league, you have to tow the line of the organizers. Kerala Blasters sent a sort of clarification/apology after Steve C complained about delay in the BFC players reaching Kerala. Zico has given up and prefers to keep his mouth shut after being given warnings by the league. Now MM must have realized that the owners are closer to the Ambanis then to their own team.
  • Stand out players this ISL ATK - Postiga when he plays,Hume and Doutie.Debjit too. Mumbai - Sonny Norde, Sena Ralte, Goian Kerala - Belfort,Hengbart, Josu Chennai-Mendy,Jeje Pune-Edel NEUFC - Alfaro, Borges Goa - Romeo and Kattimani

Gadze is still not good in my eyes . He lacks the Final touch . He misses a lot .
Like they say in Cricket . Beating the batsmen outside off stump 90 % times but having match Figures of 10 overs 50 runs and 0 wicket is a waste .

Alfro is only good when he has some one to link up play with . On his own he isn't threatening .
Marceleno is a threatening player . Lewis is the best Indian player this season . Jinghan after year 1 has 2 flop seasons . Defedrico is also threatening player .

No one impressed me in Goa , Pune and Chennai .
For ATK , Hume , Lara and Dhouti have been good . Majumdar is the 2nd best GK after Bete .
