Lilipaly would obviously be costlier. But very much possible..
Jahongir Aliev is one of the best young Tajik talent. Scored 7 goals last season in league. Has got 2 goals in 3 games in AFC Cup this season.Good with the ball & speedy, a bit like Do Dong. And only just 20 yrs old. Not really a top signing but considering the poor Asians we have in I-League, he would be great.
Problem with Yendrick Ruiz was not that he was a bad player. But he was simply unfit & would have failed a proper medical. Blame should be on the club & agents. Pune had some of the best foreigners in the league in the first season i would still say. The coach was a disaster & his Italian signings also. The players Mr. Modwel signed was good, the likes of Goosens, Vadocz, Pennant & of course my all time favorite ISL foreigner Kostas Katsouranis
The problem also with Ruiz, IMO, is that he was a victim of the 2-3 month league (2 months for Pune lol). Some players need time to adapt and I don't think Ruiz, with 9 games played (5 starts), really got that time. The guy went straight back to Costa Rica (a better league than ISL) with Herediano (a good team) and straight away started scoring goals again.
@shanks_dehighliving what about Mendoza ? Probably best foreigner to play in India
I think the agents here have poor choices and management who signs players hardly does any check Season 3 the foreign requirements were very poor apart from a couple of teams
Teams must start bringing players on trails instead of directly signing them these days
yeah trials that's what i thought, but are these players gonna come for trials ?
and why not sign compulsory 4-5 U19 Indian players for whole season , If all teams do it we can have at least 5 players whom we can try out in friendlies

but yes majority of ISL teams suck in signing foreigners(pune being topper)
