Internet Desk: Bengaluru FC sets another classic example of their approach towards Indian football and their special treatment for the footballers. Bidyananda Singh, the highly rated Indian attacker, who made his debut for Atletico de Kolkata in the Indian Super League and made some serious impressions right from the start in the previous season, was in the radar of almost all the ISL franchises including his former club ATK.
Unfortunately, a few days back he picked up an ACL injury and that would force Bidyananda to stay out of action for the entire season. He will not be able to play the forthcoming ISL as well. Suddenly, the options too started to get lesser for Bidyananda. He was going through a tough time.
Then came Bengaluru, they not only offered him a lucrative contract, but also took the entire responsibility of his treatment. They have now started to pay him the salary as well. Though Atletico de Kolkata tried to offer him a much better contract a few days back, but by then, he had already signed for BFC.
No doubt, Bidyananda is an exciting prospect and has all the ingredients to become a top player in future. But the way BFC has come forward to protect this special talent in his difficult time, sends a serious message to all the clubs on how to support an young talent. The club has already done some tremendous works in Indian football in last few years, but this gesture will definitely be one of those very special initiatives Indian football has seen in the in the recent time.
