I was a bit disappointed with the performance of Uttam Rai today. Few years ago, he was like a future star and people wanted him to move in Foreign clubs. India was below standard for him. And now-he is not promising even in i-league. That too at the age of 21.
Uttam's confidence was broken many years ago by Colin Toal. Poor guy has never recovered after that, he joined Dempo in what was a good move but unfortunately that's when Dempo declined.. lack of top quality football meant his game went down considerably along with his confidence. we are not sure we will ever see the same Uttam again. He is still young and hope he can turn around things one day
