He should grow some balls... Even after knowing that a win ensures Asian cup spot.. He should be saying... We want to seal our spot in main event tmrw... But this guy is too weak to make a statement
It just shows how low is his confidence on our national team as coach
On being asked what Sunil Chhetri undergoes to keep the fitness level at par with the younger bunch of players, Chhetri quipped: "I don’t do anything special, trust me. Playing for my country is the biggest motivation for me and it keeps driving me always. I won't let anyone take my place just for the sake of it. I will keep working hard day in and day out and fight for my place in the team."
@Ratul that's exactly my point, The management AIFF and Constantine are afraid to play against lebanon and Palestine. Not the talent on the pitch.
Players if given enough chances against top oppositions will prefer to play against them rather than ur normal SAFF games, Motivation is higher.
You show that you are not afraid to play against these countries and you will after playing them get better.
Tell me if the likes of Matos was that negative would the boys even try to play aggressively the way they did so far?
U will learn and get better by losing 4-3 against better opposition rather than playing and winning safely 2-0 against the likes of Bhutan, Macau likes.

Learn from the u-17 boys who were unfazed against USA and Columbia.
Get the win and get it in style Mr. Constantine, We are better than the second tier of Asian countries.

If possible matos can be a good national coach. His tactical acumen is great.
