AFC Cup is financially lucrative. For topping a group after just 6 matches, prize money is 100 000 USD which means 66 lakh rupees plus 40 lakh rupees travel subsidy and great value & exposure to your foreign players, sponsors.
Next year both Aizawl Fc and BFC will not be there at AFC Cup. It will be sad to see Indian clubs knocked out at Group stage itself.

If Chennaiyin FC is serious about AFC Cup, they can do well next season.

I have more fear for CFC then MPFC, Minerva has a passionate owner who will build his best team for AFC cup, but chennaiyin is a franchise they will prioritize ISL and may play B team with no foreigners in AFC cup for sake of it, we saw this year how CFC released all but 2 foreigners before super cup.
