@Ronny: EB had not beaten Kashima Antlers, but Verdy Kawasaki (now known as Tokyo Verdy) of Japan in the 1997 Asian Cup Winners Cup...as you rightly said, they lost 5-2 in Japan, with Bhutia scoring both the goals and won 1-0 at home...Sammy Omollo scored the winning goal

Bhutia scored from two consecutive corners within 2 minutes when EB were down 5-0..Damn those days he was magical..I still remember his goal on India debut at the age of 18 against Uzbekistan..what a striker he was!!
