Don't think third division or whatever division matters because ISL teams lose to 4th division teams abroad. As long as the player has a posoposi impact, shouldn't matter what league he comes from.
Even with these third grade signings, BFC just cruises thru in ISL! The format is wrong, else they would have been champion this time. Goes on to show, how pathetic the tournament is, that a team can virtually have a cakewalk, with such players! Ofcourse they coudn't retain Miku this time - and the reasons are well known.
Also they certainly invested on better products(players) when they started 4 yrs back. It is not even that they retain the core of the team (barring ofcourse Chhetri and a couple more) and there is chopping and changing every year. Not sure whether they are actually looking to raise the bar. At the moment though, it appears they are contended to be India's #1 club - which is nothing but a status quo situation.
Miku is still unknown and official announcement yet to be made on Status quo. No flaw with the format , it was not changed in the middle of the season. If you want to win ISL, you have to qualify and win the playoff. Thats how the format is designed.
