The worst thing about Play offs in ISL is that it takes out the incentive to be at the top. All the teams try to be in top 4 with no urgency that they are not at the top. Currently BFC is at the top and Mumbai City is happy playing second fiddle. They know that they have to stay in top 4 and when Play off comes, they need to have 3 good games to win the League.

Yeah. There should be 2 titles? One for league & other should be for that knock out tournament

Thats why PP said long time ago that ISL is not a league, it is a tournament.

@munna219777: I guess that pp statement is just to fool football governing bodies& tell them that we have only one league, hence to avoid any action

What is he talking about? Dempo and Lajong were in IL and now they are in ISL; more will follow -- WTF!

@Deb_Ban Old article but what I wanted to say is that AIFF has always maintained that I-League is the recognised league and ISL is a tournament.

That time owners of Dempo, Lajong were in the ownership of various ISL franchise plus Pune debacle clubs.

@munna219777, PP always says that, but acts otherwise. He says IL is tops, but allows the ISL winner to participate in ACL, keeps silent to non-promotion of IL, and actively connives to give the preferred status to ISL. I'm sure he receives a lot of Reliance money to keep mum.
