I don't think they forcefully set up any contrived franchisee with weird names like 'xx Royal Challengers' or 'yy Super Kings' from Ranchi or Gujarat to make it 'popular'. Cricket spread organically to those parts.
Moreover, cricket became successful (remember 1983) and then spread in the hinterlands. Not the other way round. And not franchisee-based. Franchises came much later -- to milk the already successful sport to the fullest.
Yeah. There is no source. Even ATK won't merge with MB. And Delhi Dynamos director has also said there is no chance of Delhi even relocating somewhere else
Great goal by Udanta today! On the other hand good to see the u17 wc boys playing in ISL..Dheeraj is doing very well, Md Rakip would learn from the way he conceded against Sunil Chhetri today
All the goals, except the penalty, were very good. Courage Pekuson's and Udanta's goals were outstanding. Sahal Abdul Samad was very good...definitely a player for the future. The way he nutmegged Dimas Delgado on one occasion...simply superb!!

Cricket became successful because it moved out of gymkhanas of mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and moved into places like Ranchi, Gujarat, Hyderabad etc

Reliance will sell them if the owners back out or will fund themselves. FCPC-MCFC merger is only thing possible
