Qatar is a decent team but not super strong..they lost to Iran 2-1 in Jan and beat Kuwait 3-1 The result that worries me is Tajikistan beating Iran 2-1
This team needs Nishu Kumar and Anirudh Thapa in the playing 11. .problem is half the team has never played together and 1 friendly is not enough to find the right combination
It is the same old story , we don't have that attacking capacity or strikers who can create problem in opposition goal area... First half we were good till that goal scored against the run of play. In the second half they have controlled the game and we were defending all the time. We lack big time a quality striker or creative midfielder . Finishing is a big concern , towards the end of play we got an open chance gifted by Qatari defense and even that can not be convert . To cut the story short we can defend but can't score. Need to develop a Sc11 version 2 asap if you want to see some results .
ISL starts in September last week generally and Pre-season starts max during Mid August. So during June, July the top footballers most remain idle except the ones who play some intl matches.
To give game time to top Strikers, Centre Backs etc and to ensure match fitness of all these players, a 5 team duleep trophy like India Red, India Blue and India Green can be constituted along with India U21 & India U18 team. So that Top 60 players in the country along with talented youngsters will have time to get together, learn and get quality game time

Or they can simply revive IFA Shield and Durand Cup during that time. Shield in West Bengal (Kolkata and Siliguri) and NE states (Guwahati, Imphal, Aizawa) can host Durand. We have a great window for domestic pre season tournaments but no will from AIFF and their Reliance masters.
