One thing I have observed is that the gap between top 5 in Asia has remained constant. Just look at the points table. Iran, S Korea, Japan, Saudi and Australia way ahead.
I think it's simply because of their players playing in really good leagues abroad..Except Saudi which has a solid league and youth system/coaching etc
Group B seems interesting… all 3 big teams play against each other in coming weeks. Saudi has perfect chance to qualify… they just need to win against the third team ( China/Oman/Vietnam) rest doesn’t matter to them
Vietnam defeated China 3-1. Oman held Australia to a 2-2 draw.
Group B will go to the wire. Saudi on 19 pts, Japan on 18 and Australia on 15 with 2 games to go. Australia will face both Saudi and Japan in March. Even if they win both the matches it may not be enough.
Remember that in intercontinental playoff Asian team is drawn against South American team. It's going to be difficult.
Group A is almost decided. Iran and South Korea are already in. UAE will most probably go to fourth round.

Iran - UAE and Japan - Saudi Arabia are two high-voltage matches today.
South Korea and Saudi Arabia will qualify for World Cup if they win their match today.
Iran defeated UAE 1-0
What a goal by Angel Di Maria against Chile...reminded me of Messi's goal against Iran in the 2014 World Cup
Oman held Australia to a 2-2 draw.
