Group D matches of Durand Cup might be shifted out of Siliguri
The Group D league matches of the 129th Durand Cup might be shifted out of Siliguri, sources informed. It was learnt that the main reason for that is heavy rainfall in the area. It is still not confirmed, but the Group D league matches are now likely to be played at the Howrah Stadium.
An official confirmation on the matter is expected very soon.
Gokulam Kerala, Chennaiyin FC, Trau and Air Force are the four teams in Group D.
Scouts or EB fans whoever are going for the match against JFC reserves should watch out for Vimal Kumhar, a local Jharkhandi lad with almost same progression as Gourav Mukhi. He was playing in Jamshedpur league( Narwa Pahad in 17 and Tata Steel in 18) for two years and based on his performance he was with JFC reserves for this season and was the highest scorer for them in the recently concluded league. He might get chances in the first team soon.
It should have ended by now. I guess JFC is wondering whether to take him after last year's PR disaster. If he is available and not selected then they are going to loose good amount of supporters for sure. Mobashir is also a local lad but doesn't connect with people like Mukhi does. If not selected for JFC some ileague teams should look out for him.
