FSDL announces schedule for Hero ISL 2019-20 semi-finals and final
Football Sports Development Ltd (FSDL) today released the schedule for Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2019-20 knockout stage up until Matchday 95, i.e. the summit clash on Saturday, March 14, 2020.
The ongoing Hero ISL season will have the knockouts played over weekends.
The first set of semi-finals will be on Saturday, February 29 and Sunday, March 1. The return leg is scheduled on the weekend of Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8.
The Hero ISL final will be held on Saturday, March 14. Venue for the final will be announced on a later date.
The ongoing season will see the League Stage winner on completion of its Matchday 90 on February 25, 2020. Currently three clubs – ATK FC (27 pts), FC Goa (27 pts) and Bengaluru FC (25 pts) – are the frontrunners to finish top and earn a historic direct entry into AFC Champions League 2021 group stage - the first-ever for an Indian club.
The game was great excepting the 4th Goa goal and their boring Khalid Jameel tactics from the beginning of the second half. Onwu has done more than anyone expected but he was absent in the game play otherwise. Xisco has been the best player of OFC this season.
Onwu is probably more used to the tiki taka style of Gombau,.... Bfc under Carles Cuadrat never play that style and so itz difficult... Cuadrat would insist their strikers for strict defensive duty and hence Onwu could not shine probably.. Not sure a former barca b player like Nili would be comfortable in that playing style..
Even FCGoa under lobera have pretty much lost their style... They are scoring from set pieces, crosses or indivual brilliance of boumous.... they play triangles often and try to retain possession, but not the real tiki taka this season....
Gombau is the best as far as coaching that style of football is concerned and he never complains nor cries too much like the other catalan coaches here in isl.... good man...
Eugenson lyndoh is not even in the match day squad.. Suresh wangjam is preferred in lineup.. He could have gone on loan to play.. Or did he get injured again
While checking their squad, found Francisco Borges.. Thought they have signed some goan Ftballer.. Then found tat it is nili

Onwu, whom we were all criticizing, scored a brace in his debut for Odisha
