I am kinda serious. Transtadia isn't really meeting it's intended purpose so they are going out of their way in giving generous offers to clubs for using stadium.
JLN Stadiums across the country are pretty costly and yearly cost of renting them is several crores.
Chennaiyin management doesn't really seem to care about their performance and John Gregory was retained despite showing public interest of leaving.
Most good players won't extend contract after it runs out because of out terrible management. Fans are severely frustrated and showing disinterest and I have personally seen several fans who stayed entire of last season give up on the club.
Another single digit point season will make the franchise a mockery hence will be easy for them to move city and rebrand.
Also the club is registered from Mumbai and has an office and both ISL trophies there. The trophies didn't even stay in Chennai for more than a week and many fans are genuinely pissed with how the club functions.
Transtadia probably made a very good offer to relocate after AFC Cup. With many clubs shifting it won't really be hard for a team finishing last and losing half its attendance and fans because of mismanagement to shift base
Best contribution to Reliance to Indian Football has been Reliance Foundation Youth Sports and its Team across various age groups..They have the one of the best Residential Academies led by a good European coach
If fans desert a club after one or two bad seasons you know the club never had real fans just plastic glory hunters! ISL is an abject failure, flawed product right from the start. IMO, with a DSports deal and AFC Cup spot, EB MB must not waste money on ISL and stay in I-League.
Everyone knew what ISL was from the very beginning. It's not a revelation here. People have critised it from day 1 but with current scenario you have no other option but to hope it does well and we have promotion and relegation
Why waste money on Franchise fee to get in ISL. Better spend that in youth and infrastructure development. By the time Pro/Rel kicks in, they will be more than ready to take on ISL sides.
