Native Proficiency is vital for Commentary skills.

For many commentators or ex-players, English and Hindi are like 2nd or 3rd language.

Thats why the standard is atrocious for English / Hindi commentary in India !!

They should have 2 commentators together, with one commentator he gets lost during the match, becomes a spectator from a commentator

For no Hindi commentator in Indian football, Hindi is their 2nd or 3rd language

I think Malayalam commentary with Shaiju damodar is awesome but seriously Jo Paul Ancheri is unbearable.

@sam ; Once I saw VVS Laxman and Krishnamchari Srikanth doing Hindi Commentary for Star Sports during a Cricket Match. Actually both were laughing that commentary will become more intersting once Star producers include Javagal Srinath also in Hindi Panel for Commentary.

Not making fun of anybodys language skills but is it necessary to have an ex-player or a person with poor communication skills as a commentator ? Thats why Native proficiency is a must. Same goes for English.
