Its not only change of name, infact that's the most insignificant thing in the article. The main things are -

    1) a fresh set of under-19 players to come in the team - So, the u19 players already training with arrows will now be a part of the team, although couple of them has played already
    2) It will have a sponsor - Fantastic
    3) The federation, however, has now given the other I-League clubs the option of recalling their respective players from the pool in the coming season - So, all the players with a contract before, basically most of the main player will leave
    4) Bulpin will remain in charge of the side along with his existing support staff. - so Bulpin will stay

Why I donot know but I am having a bad feeling that the fresh players that would join the team wont be good enough to survive the ileague and then the team would be shut down and Bulpin and his staff would be sacked

I have a positive feeling...see even this season the players were new, and did very bad initially but then they got back well...now next season it will be start from scratch again..and we will find new stars..but yes this batch was much better...but also remember that these u19 players and the IA bench players are there training for 1 yr now, so atleast fitnesswise they sud be ready

Come to think of it fitnesswise should not be any problem I am talking about the mental aspect. As surviving the second time is more difficult than the first time as everyone know what their tactics will be and how to counter it?

    Will Indian Arrows survive?

BANGALORE: The fate of Indians Arrows team, which gave opportunities to top Under-21 players to play alongside the best in the country in the I-League, will be decided by the All India Football Federation during a meeting of the executive committee on Friday.

"The meeting in New Delhi will decide whether to continue with the Arrows team. Efforts to rope in sponsors for the team have not been successful so far and it remains to be seen whether AIFF will be ready to shell out another 6-7 crore, the amount spend to run the team this season," informed sources told TOI.

"Also the Arrows coach Desmond Bulpin has been handed the reins of U-23 side which will get ready for the Olympic qualifiers," they added.

"It is a delicate situation but we are still continuing with the talks. If we get investors then we will continue with the squad. A final decision will be taken tomorrow," AIFF General Secretary Kushal Das said.

It is learnt that not everyone in the decision-making body toes the same line. "Some people feel that AIFF should run the team as it gave ample opportunities to the youngsters who would have otherwise warmed the benches of top teams," they said.

And if the AIFF decides to retain the side with or without fresh players in the squad, there is a possibility that the side may be based in the South where the technical training centre is nearing completion. "If the side stays it would most probably be based in Bangalore which will help the AIFF to fulfil the criteria regarding own ground and facilities," sources said.

But Das said it would be difficult to base the team in Bangalore as the training centre only has dormitory accommodation. "I-League teams cannot stay in such an accommodation. Also the purpose of training centres is different," he said.

Among the other top items on the agenda are the appointment of Armando Colaco as the national team coach till the World Cup qualifier against UAE and a code of conduct for the national squad players.

"Colaco's appointment has to be approved by the committee. Also, the draft of the code is ready and will be discussed. Most of the other federations already have a code with the do's and don'ts in place," they said.

The executive committee may also debate the case of Lajong FC who were pulled up for fielding an ineligible player during their victorious campaign in the second division league. Lajong landed in trouble for fielding striker Seikhohao Tuboi who also played for Army XI this season.

"Though the issue will come up before the Players' Status Committee on May 27, some of the members may raise the matter," they said.

    Sponsors needed by 31st May
The Committee also took the decision that efforts should be intensified to find a sponsor for the Indian Arrows team by May 31. In case no sponsor is found, a decision will be taken by the Emergency Committee.
