Budjet for MB and EB in 2011 / 2012 :

McDowell Mohun Bagan:

1. Amount by UB grp - 9 crore
2. Membership and Donation - 56 lakhs
3. Reebok - 1.2 crores
4. Saradha Group - 1.2 crore
5. iCore Group - 80 lakhs
6. SAIL(Steel authority of India ltd) - 56 lakhs
7. MMB Shares - 22 lakhs
8. MB Merchandising - 16 thousand

Net Amount - 12 ,98 ,16 ,000 /- ( twelve crore ninety eight lakhs sixteen thousand)


Kingfisher East Bengal:

1. Amount by UB grp - 9 crore
2. Membership - 67 lakhs
3. Tower Group(Co-Sponcers) - 2.3 crore
4. Saradha Group(Co-Sponcers) - 1.5 crore
5. VIBGYOR group (co-sponsor) - 1.2 crore
6. KEB Merchendising - 42 thousand

Net Amount - 14 ,67 ,42 ,000 /- ( fourteen crore sixty seven lakhs forty two thousand)

    Only 16000 rs from merchandising. MB needs to overhaul their merchandising as in pro clubs it is most important source of income for a club

    Very poor considering these are top teams in India.Merchandising revenue is lesser than what an 8th division English club earns(Their fan base is also 8 times lesser than these clubs). <!-- s:oops: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif" alt=":oops:" title="Embarrassed" /><!-- s:oops: -->

    Now lets just compare with other Asian League and clubs :-

    ACL Clubs = 25-150 crores(Lowest ones are from Australia,highest come from Middle East,Japan,China and Korea). <!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt=":cry:" title="Crying or Very Sad" /><!-- s:cry: -->

    Even South East Nations like Indonesia,Thailand etc have clubs averaging 20 crores budget. <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->

    Indian Football is just the same,few years back these Thai clubs had same budgets like 10 crores but now they have 20-30 crores and how come Indians are same <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->

    With such low budget how can clubs think of building infrastructure? Club can barely make profit? Can anyone post the annual expenditure of these clubs?

    they are always at a loss. No need to bang your head. we seriously need to pump more money into football. the main team still gets that much but think about junior teams. they almost gets nothing. how do you expect a good infrastructure (and decent player) in the future?

    UB hasn't increased the budget of eb and mb due to some recession in the company. Both clubs are in search of good co-sponsors.
