The deal they are being offered by SRK is not acceptable to Mr Dempo at the moment. The valuation that they are doing is too low. Churchill Bros sponsors are giving Rs 27 crore as sponsorship money without any stake. Then how can a club like Dempo offer 50% stake at just 30 crore?<div><br></div><div>But again the star power that SRK brings will automatically propel the clubs fortunes. Srinivas should negotiate for something around 70-80 crores</div>

<br><div><br></div><div>That depends. </div><div><br></div><div>Who is the bigger name? SRK or NVD... SRK of course! </div><div><br></div><div>Who would you want more? SRK or NVD... SRK of course!</div><div><br></div><div>How is the finance record of I-League and Indian football? Good or Bad... Bad of course.</div><div><br></div><div>SRK may not be the one offering the price, he talks to people as well who are well into the business of sport economics. Khan gets a 50% stake at 30 crore would then bring the the marketing capabilities of Dempo SC, bring in a few more sponsors and would also bring in more people in the Fatorda Stadium for matches (Full house if Khan is there, predicted) (15,000-18,000 normally) And over time when you count in sponsor revenue, ticket revenue and other expected things like promotions then Dempo will make a greater profit than Churchill in the long run. Overall the best deal went to Dempo SC.</div><div><br></div><div>Basically Khan is willing to do what Beckham did and will do for MLS. Beckham is about to become co-owner of the 20th team in MLS (which will be worth $100 Million) and he will own part of it for only $5,000,000 which is basically one years salary for him. Once the team is up it is almost guarenteed to bring in fans that will generate a profit and hopefully bring in even better and younger players to the league.</div>

I told him in my first meeting itself that more than his money, we need his time. Whether he comes on board as an investor or a brand ambassador is secondary. Shah Rukh can have a huge influence on the game. His presence will change the face of Indian football as spectators will start thronging the venues, sponsors will start queuing up and Indian football will get the fillip it deserves," said Dempo</font></b></span>

very true..if SRK brand value is properly harnessed they sky will b d limit..we will definitely see d brand value for Indian football shooting up...i pray he remains committed to giving his time for demo..m very very excited with this.news.

Inquiries have revealed that the Bollywood star did elicit an interest in the ‘property’ at one stage but that’s about it. His team of advisors has not made any progress with regard to the project.</p><p style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 1em; font-family: arial, verdana; font-size: 12px; ">Recent reports have suggested that after his successful foray into cricket (or IPL to be precise), Shah Rukh has turned attention towards football and is close to picking up stakes in Dempo, the champions of the I-League. But in reality, he is far from the goal post.</p><p style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 1em; font-family: arial, verdana; font-size: 12px; ">“<b>We do not know how such a thing has surfaced now. It is an old story and we thought it is a closed story,</b>” a key aide of the Bollywood star told <em style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px; ">DNA</em>. According to him, Shah Rukh asked his officials to have a look at the project.<b> After going through the offer, they concluded that the deal was not ‘exciting.’ Promptly, they advised him that <u>it would not be a profit-making venture.</u></b></p><p style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 1em; font-family: arial, verdana; font-size: 12px; ">The Dempo management held parleys with King Khan, but that was not in the recent past.
