Amazing news from Dempo. Hope these players get a lot of time and the deserving ones get a spot in I-League.

BTW What happened to Joy Ferrao. Top scorer in the 2010 I-League 2nd Division. Second Top in 2011 I-League 2nd Division. He then signed for Dempo. I have not heard of him in I-League yet.

they shd get someone who shares dempo philosophy and ready to promote talent and take a risk

Whats happening with FC Midtyland and DEMPO..the news has gone cold on that front after the return of d 2 dempo players under training there... Why is there no Friendly matches being arranged between the U20 teams, i am sure that will be a huge crowd attraction in Goa..

Branco failed to win the trust of his East Bengal coach and spent the whole season warming the substitutes bench. With East Bengal roping in a host of talented young strikers this season, Branco's chances to make it in to the playing XI for Red-&-Golds is next to nil and it's highly likely that the 25 year old Goan striker will agree to the deal provided by Dempo

  • You see this is why it is hard to trust this place for news without a national source. No national source said that Ghana forward signed for Churchill but they did say that he denied it.

No wonder I use my sources and work with the grass roots, sometimes even take an evening off of work for personal site visits, meetings etc., the limitations being I can only do so much this way. Unfortunately that's the nature of Indian football given the scant media attention. At least TOI has been running articles over the last year, five years ago nothing of this sort was available. No forums like this, nothing is all I can say having followed Indian football for more than a couple dozen years.

Although I am VERY APPRECIATIVE of this forum infrastructure, I stay away from most discussions given their superficiality, more so at the grass root(not the odd TFA or PFC academy) youth level of Indian football which is SIGNIFICANTLY different from most football developed nations, having followed the grassroots at these nations on and off during my visits and/or stays abroad.
