midfielder ??
dempo need strikers romeo yet to become regular player
( this was back in November , page 76 of the thread)
I guess now that its official , I can say "I told you so"
Armando was very clear that he has a strong preference for players that have played in India, and given the Ricketts experience , I think his opinion will be strengthened.
As long as Google can find. criticising your employer thru social media repeatedly is unprofessional behaviour -be it USA, UK or India. He had similar problems in canada and other European countries also.

And yet he will still find a way to be scouted by and signed by foreign professional football clubs. Something barely any Indian can do... at least yet.
in any case I don't think we need to bother about job history...as an employer the last thing I would like to see is the person working with me is going bonkers in media and public...ok he is not happpy, pack your bags annd go... extremely professional decision by Dempo, no player is above the institution...
Most of us have a job or institution affiliation here, just think rationally about the matter...its not about whether ricketts is right about what he is saying or not, its about professional ethics...theirs a hierarchy in any institution esp in a professional football club, if you try to breach it, you should be in trouble
I do agree with that @Rudra. I did think that Ricketts decision to go all out on twitter about this was unprofessional but its not as if he is the only one. Many footballers are notable for their twitter outbursts and all that. Ricketts is just the only notable one in India.
If Dempo release him I do hope he stays in India but away from Kolkata and Goa... perhaps Pune or Shillong Lajong or Mumbai. At least so he could be in areas were his actions will be less noticeable.

> well ofcourse he is not the only one...that's true, but this was inevitable...maybe dempo -ricketts can also get over the differences...
but if he doesnt like the workings in one of the best run clubs here, will he like joining others?
Woah... one of the best run? Lets wait awhile. So many promises yet barely any of them fulfilled, especially off the pitch.
Call me when they have a fully functional Academy, Ticket system, website, youtube (not a necessity), and real sponsors that are not the local bakery.... I mean that is fine but add an extra known one. Got some more work to do their Dempo.

Rohan Ricketts is unprofessional. Always unhappy, crying for attention thru media.
