Arrows defence and their goalkeeper were very disappointing. They were getting aerially dominated by Majcen and Zuniga very easily

Gurkirat singh of Indian arrows impressed with his ability to shield the ball.

Indian arrows were poor in defending against set-piece. also while taking it.

Churchill Brothers gave them a good Footballing lesson in Power game today, hope they learn

Clencio Pinto took a brilliant Corner Kick which resulted in Churchill Goal.  Hope other Indian players in Arrows and ISL learn from it. This is how you take it.

The positioning of Arrows players was completely off.  While defending corner, they had no idea where to stand. While executing a free kick, they didnt know how to do.

    Defending setpiece is an art.
Game of cat & mouse and ability to shift gears between Man to Man marking,  Zonal Marking !!!!

Their coach has done poor job with Indian Arrows so far in the Training Ground.
In modern Football, setpiece (execution and defending) is 1/3rd of the Football Result.

Yep, they looked very weak once Churchil Started moving forward aggresively.... Felt like small boys playing men.... Disappointed with their performance.....

No reason to be disappointed. They are small boys actually with most being U-18. Why do you guys expect too much from a new team?

ABP has reported that the match against Churchill Brothers might be the last match of their Ghanaian player, Mohammed Fatau. He might be sacked if he does not perform well in that match. The management is apparently not pleased with his performance,

Dipendu Biswas has admitted that a footballer cannot be sacked after so little opportunity, and a new footballer, even if he is signed, needs to undergo the mandatory quarantine. They are weighing the option of recruiting some good foreigner from the ISL teams.

First Adjah, and now Fatau! No change in the mantra of chopping and changing.

Arrows are kids. Teenagers. Period. Ideally, they should spur with same age-group kid from different set ups and not train/ play with the grown ups.
Playing them in I-League destroys their development, dilutes I-League, and exposes AIFF's inefficiencies.

Yes they need a Foreign coach. Desmond Bulpin type Foreign coach  who was with Indian Arrows in 2010 - 2011 period.  That will give them more confidence

They also need to develop a playing style.

They should not play like individuals auditioning for ISL as they will not develop as a team footballer.

Again going too hard on kids after just their first game. Why not blame a professional team like Churchill to concede two goals against kids lol. Even the star studded under 17 world cup team lost their first match as Arrows against Chennai City. Nobody gave them a chance and then in their last match of the league they beat Mohan Bagan. Young players need game time to improve. Des Bulpin was the worst Arrows coach in my opinion after Floyd Pinto. Team played hoofball from Raju Gaikwad in the back to Jeje up top
