It is not a ditch.. He signed 2 year contract in 2020 and his contract will be expired in couple of months.. FC Goa haven't qualified to either AFC Champions League/AFC Cup. There is no point for him to stay back. Chinese League One will pay better and Sichuan Jiuniu F.C is part of City Football Group and with good backing, they have high promotion chances to Chinese top tier.

Even Hernan Santana (N.E United player) may join this Chinese team (Sichuan Jiuniu F.C). He played earlier in Mumbai City during Lobera tenure.
