Iman Basafa played in Iran Pro League in last 2 seasons & BFC team looks good this season and they are again will be one of the favorites to win the league.
Marko Leskovic played plenty of games in Croatia top tier including last season. It is also good signing by KBFC. Baring Chencho, all other foreign players are excellent in KBFC. Even Enes Sipovic had a good season with Chennaiyin in ISL 20-21.
And Chencho is a cut money signing with the wage limit. Until we have the salary cap removed/increased, It is very difficult to bring 6 quality players. Chencho/Sreekuttan are backup to Diaz this season.
Jamshedpur had the best defense last season. They have added Murray/Pandita/Greg to support valskis and retained Alex and peter. Eze departed and they added Sabia as replacement. Barring Sabia fitting into the squad. I trust Owen Coyle to bring the best out of this team. Owen Coyle should be considered for the national team in my opinion. A coach who had got the best out of all the teams he had worked in India.
@Ronny But if you consider just the local players like Thapa, Chhangte and many others were at their best under Coyle. they used to play with so much confidence under him. Definitely there is a risk involved when managing an all Indian squad, But he is relatively a safer bet than Stimac for sure.
If Salary Cap is removed, teams like ATK MB, Mumbai & BFC will have an unfair advantage.
Currently Salary Cap is 16.5 Cr excluding transfer fee. Clubs should try to get Loan signings. For 4 months, it is waste of money to sign quality foreigners. For Mumbai City, it would be easy to get loan deals. Maybe MCFC will plan the same for their AFC Champions League group stage matches.
Increase in salary cap should be 2nd option and that too not more than 20 Cr. Else it would dilute the market & most Indian & Foreign players would be over-paid.
