"Anwar Ali will join East Bengal permanently from Delhi FC if the termination of loan agreement between Anwar, Delhi FC & M.B is accepted by AIFF. This case will certainly be decided by the Player Status Committee (PSC)."
This whole saga seems like a cheap move by Ranjit Bajaj to extract more money from MB as transfer fees and cut from Anwar Alis new contract salary . Might've started plotting this move after Apuia's transfer .

If I were in his boots, it's all fair and well in the game. Remember AIFF cares for nothing to broadcast or create revenue for I-League. And when Anwar had the heart condition, Ranjit stood by him in his fight, MB took advantage that giving him opportunity itself as a big deal(which is not wrong again!) But now, it's proven he is fit, Delhi deserves money as part of their contract. Anwar is not a charity player anymore he has proven that. If EB pays for him, good for them, Everyone stands to benefit the way I see it.
All is good but why this cheap drama ? They were the ones who made this deal with MB . Why backtrack on it then ?
Because nobody anticipated Anwar to turn out to be this good. So they allowed the long term loan. But 2 year loan deal with no profit is never fair IMO. That is why even the recent FIFA rule states it. Yeah this drama could be avoided. MB could still pay that as loan fee if they needed him. We never know what goes on this discussions. Delhi should pocket the money. They need that to stay alive. AIFF has systemically reduced the funding for I-League clubs further under this leadership.

I heard it somewhere that it's a 4 year loan deal.
4 Year loan deal with M.B is true. Anwar Ali is having a contract with Delhi FC till May 2031.
Though Delhi FC(Ranjit) rescued him by signing him initially on a 5 year deal. After release from Mohammaden, first club to offer him deal was Techtro Swades United and he played couple of games in Himachal league.
Even lot of people in media saying, cheap tricks by Ranjit.. As giridharan said, I don't agree fans outburst.. M.B signed him for cheaply on 4 year loan deal. It is fair from Ranjit to use the rules & get the deserved money.
When I said Anwar Ali will be a top-class player and if he is willing to continue professional career, he should continue playing even with his heart condition, but most of you didn't agreed. Leave about people anticipation how good or bad he will be, few of us saying who will take responsibility if something bad happens on the pitch.
After all this drama, I feel main looser will be Mumbai City who released him initially. They are in fray to sign him from Delhi FC, but neither they are willing to pay huge transfer fee nor huge salary/perks like East Bengal.
+ Anwar Ali is not happy with his current salary. On top of it, mediocre players in MB earning in crores.
He is happy to sign permanent deal with M.B, provided offer is good and best for all the parties involved. But M.B, at this point, is not willing to talk & sign him permanently since 3 more years left (loan deal).
M.B is going to lose the case. Neither AIFF nor FIFA can resolve and it may drag till CAS and we know how tough these people (Anwar & Ranjit) are. Its better if M.B can pay transfer fee to Delhi FC & offer him good salary.
