Indian Football Transfer News 2025-2026: Rumours, Gossips, Signings

We are in the midst of another Indian football transfer season, one that will invariably bring to every football fan in India a roller coaster of emotions. Both the ISL and I-league have ended quite some time back, and football clubs across the length and breadth of the country are in the process of preparing and regrouping for the season ahead. Inking of new contracts, talks with agents and negotiations with clubs are in full flow. The media, especially the social media, is abuzz with rumours and speculations and the mania surrounding Indian football is at an all time high. This year, there seems to be a twist to the scenario as there is some uncertainty regarding the ISL because of a lack of clarity over a fresh Master Rights Agreement (MRA) between the AIFF and Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) which runs the ISL with the result that some of the clubs have put their signings on hold. One hopes that the issue is sorted out and the clubs are able to finalize their signings soon.
In keeping with the trends in recent years, the transfer news of both ISL 2025-26 season and I-League (also I-League Second Division) 2025-26 season shall be discussed here.
So, let the discussions begin!

“Siverio may seem like an underwhelming signing, given that FC Goa have brought in tried and tested strikers in the past, but his (four-year) experience in Indian football cannot be discounted.”
