Sunandho Dhar who is the I-league CEO represented FIFA and the agreement was signed by GCDA secretary R.Lalu in the presence of Kerala Chief minister Oomen Chandy and other ministers from the Kerala cabinet.
According to this agreement GCDA has agreed to renovate the stadium to fulfill FIFA standards. GCDA Chairman G Venugopal is quoted in the report saying that except the turf installation, all other renovation work will be completed by August 2016. Turf installation is expected to start by early 2017.
Sunandho Dhar is quoted in the report saying, that a final list of venues that will be hosting 2017 U-17 World Cup will be out by November this year.
