Hi. Sorry to reignite a past debate on previous posts. Speaking on the "professional" tag, the clubs named are only from the I-League!!! Does that qualify them as professional clubs? USFC has just been promoted and it acquires a professional tag. What if M. Sporting or RWFC were? And while on the latter, anyone remotely associated with Shillong/NE football knows that it is teams from Shillong who are the strongest in the region. And RWFC has been the Shillong Premier League Champion since 2010. There is a big difference between "breaking" rules and abusing them - and sadly there seems to be a very poor understanding wrt what happened vs ONGC in Siliguri. But this poor understanding shouldn't extend to the fan base in Shillong. And lastly, kindly define what exactly makes the "elite" list of clubs mentioned professional.

these are not the criteria for professional clubs.... but criteria set for the clubs so that the league could be called professional
and also the controversies over the promotion and relegation remains in every part of world we cant put a tag of profesional and unprofessional on that part
Bhawanipore F.C. will not be playing in the I-league 2nd div because they don't have a U15 team.
They are planing to talk to aiff officials that there is a U15 turnament to play thats why they don't have a U15 team. They will also talk with aiff officials to reconcider theis perticipation.

if there is a tournament, why dont they have a team?
and guys beware, some Mohun Bagan officials run this club....last thing we want is they get into i league
Seedings of the teams in my opinion, based on the relative strength of their local leagues and their performances in those leagues, Federation Cup, and Durand Cup.
Participation of PIFA irks me the most. They have no intention of playin i league. Only reason they r in here so that they keep runnin academy business which has produced nt a single talent

Irony of that is....PIFA Colaba are the only club in this list & the I-League that make a profit, the 2nd Division team costs them a lad of money & as rightly pointed out, is a waste of money
Given Mohammaden SC's form in calcutta league I am not...i think in terms of known names, they have a good team, but in CFL their performance is not upto nark, losing important points at crucial games...I think this time again they will come close and lose out....
but again I dont see a clear cut 2nd fav team tis time (Dodsal seems to be favs)

Any one know which are the different clubs applied for II division apart from those selected?
