Eugeneson Lyngdoh and Lalramluaha will be embarking on a new journey to Denmark with the intention of providing a platform by giving them access to technology and introduce them to a world class training facility. The duo will be a part of the Denmark based club, FCV Vikings which is a first division football club and is a famous name in the Danish Premier League
Lajong in association with FCV Vikings and Anglian Holdings is in preparation to organize a state-of-the-art international level residential academy for promising and talented footballers of the State and the region. Therefore, Lajong will be equipped with an international standard academy and establish the finest training hub to encourage, support and develop footballers with professional technical guidance from Europe, aided by FCV Vikings.

this news is more fascinating to have a academy of themselves in northeast, this could produce much better chance for the talents available in this region
wow!!.... such an experienced Indian coach!!!!!!!.Lajong has picked the right coach. He will add a lot to their youth development. Lajong is surely the club to be looked upon in coming years.
YES! YES!! FINALLY AN OFFICIAL WHO SEES THE LIGHT!
Of course he missed a few things like how this league should start at 10 clubs and not at the intended 16 or 18. Saves money. Plus in terms of scheduling, I am still not in favor of a play-off system in India. That is what the Federation Cup should be for. But the thing is if the league is 10 teams then we would need to play 30 games a season. Have both teams play each other twice 18 games and then have the other 12 matches be divided.
Also he is wrong about the Salary Cap. Only MLS uses a salary cap. The Second Division does not but the Second Division in a way has an unofficial salary cap. They would spend on players but then they would need money to market there team as Second Division soccer attendance here is at 5,000 a game. (Compared to MLS which was 20,000)
Just read that. Great article. It will be interesting. The most surprising thing in that article is the part when it says that 2,000 people come to see u13 Shillong Lajong games. I also like how they are more focused on youth than buying players who would be on the bench. We cant be Man City, we have to be Arsenal or Barcelona. Make players. Make homegrown names.
I hope the AIFF help to with a Regional Academy at Shillong.
the recent tie ups of dempo and shillong lajong are some good news for us which could give a lot of hope as both the foreign clubs have came here to look for both talents as well as money (unlike some top clubs whose main motto is to earn some bucks from this market than anything else) which is the news to cheer for!!
