    Official announcement from IFA came yesterday only that News Time will be the broadcaster for Kolkata League and IFA shield.It is high time to switch to DTH connection where News Time is available..But these regional channels should be given credit for their efforts.They are not limited to Indian football only.Kolkata Tv is regularly broadcasting the Euro qualifiers and will telecast the Brazil Argentina friendlies.Mohua is telecasting the Brazilian League. It seems except kolkata media everyone else is least bothered about indian football. decided on 9th september!
    yes fully agreed. These kolkata news channels continuously pushing all kolkata teams to do well. 5 yrs back there was only one indianfootball show xtra time but now almost all bengali news channel holds a show on indian football. Which is very commendable in this cricket crazy nation.

    kudos to bengali news channel..gud job.. <!-- s:handgestures-thumbup: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/handgestures/thumbup.gif" alt=":handgestures-thumbup:" title="Thumb Up" /><!-- s:handgestures-thumbup: -->
  • honestly i wud like a national broadcaster instead of regional channel even in every state bcoz i don't want to miss out the famous kolkata derby. i am sure that every indian football fan anywhere no matter which state would follow that & it is a treat to watch people from all ages including women & children bringing banners ,balloons,firecrackers ,boisterous ,noisy fans inside the stadium..feels like festival.

    hahaha...
    i can bet from outside it may look like a festival but inside the stadium its nothing less than a world war.

    latest consolation statement from AIFF
    “There’s very little we could do,” said AIFF general secretary Kushal Das. “We are working to sort it out with our partners (IMG-Reliance) but at least we got a broadcaster for the Federation Cup. Our target is to get a sponsor and a television partner for the I-League that begins next month. There have been a lot of positive developments on that front and I am confident that we will be in a better position during the I-League.”
