Was there any proposed league for women's football???

There was an interview with former captain Sasmita Malik and she said there would be one starting in September (regional, more like the I-League 2nd Division probably). It was only one line however.

We need more of these stories, good to see a face to a name. But would like more on their football exploits or up coming fixtures then a background story, but for now take what we can.

I really appreciate the women's football, but seriously I have noticed so much comparison with men's football which I believe is totally retarded and senseless. <br>

Women's football team is definitely ranked higher than men but the difference between a team ranked in 50 and 30 is huge.<br><br>But their performance can shoot-up a little if they get to play more local tournaments. As for a professional league I'm not sure AIFF has enough money for that so not anytime soon.<br>
