Everything seems exciting before the new season but lack of clubs from North India is a huge set back,India's most populous region has to be represented at any cost.JCT FC is surely one of the biggest jolt which Indian Football will always feel.
this fate is never going to end unless we have a strong base created for our national league.....don't think i-league can ever match even asian standards in any coming years....

Thats a pessimistic post isn't it right there. Come on man we will rise. It already seems as if the AIFF is trying to do something with the league to make it better.
The fiasco over the appointment of the national football coach (Armando Colaco’s interim contract was terminated, Karim Bencherifa was appointed and then Salgaocar SC refused to release him) proves that the more things change in Indian football, the more they remain the same, vis-à-vis the lack of administrative acumen.
However, the big question now is whether things will remain the same on the pitch, what with a new edition of the I-League set to kick off on 22 October, and whether India’s most prestigious pennant can be won by an “outsider” instead of the “usual suspects”.

hav u heard of a very famous saying here in the south...?? it says a community hated ugly black crows can never be white fair beautiful swans no matter how much they hav had a hard wash bath in the most fresh and sacred holy water.....!! and wud u prefer an old pc with slight few modifications done or wud u prefer a brand new shiny looking pc with better configurations...?? don't just choose the option of prefering the old one just for the sake of supporting ur point...!! we shudn't be much sentimental for our failed historic things...!! (ex. i-league, mohun bagan, east bengal, mohd. sporting) all these are even existing becoz of these sentiments....
Its good to see our National Football League has improved considerably compared to last year.
1. There will be an opening ceremony.
2. Event Management Groups to organize matches.
3. More than 70 matches to be telecasted.
If not all has been improved. This is change. A real good positive change. I am more thrilled to watch matches live...
Hope this will attract more talented players to opt i-league, more opportunity for youngsters, more fan base for clubs...

Hello and welcome to Indian Football Network Forums.
Ya a lot has changed. I think the fact that the AIFF realized the power of the AFC Asian Cup was the reason we did it. Before they did not care but once we were in it improvement started.
What an amazing football displayed by Dempo today! They are the favourites in my opinion. Awesome depth in the squad too. Also this KOKO guy is lightning fast and got amazing skills. Just wondering how strong they would be after Densil Theobald also joins

Suspects vs outsiders
