Tornadoes are still unbeaten in this competition with 8 wins and 2
draws from 10 games. They sit comfortably on the top of the table
with 26 points, 4 points clear of their nearest rivals, Barak
    Flamingoz

KK with 4 draws have the most
stalemates in the league. The lads from Kohima need to find more
goals, inject more firepower in their gameplay as they have scored just
11 times in 10 games and have conceded 8 times.

The
Tornadoes have an impressive record of 7 clean sheets in this
season. They have scored 25 times, the highest in the league, and
have conceded just 5 times, the least in the league along with
Barak Flamingoz. In the first leg Kohima Komets held the Tornadoes
to a 2-2 draw in Dimapur.

The key factor here would be for
Kohima Komets to take control of the game at their homeground and
find ways to trouble the Tornadoes’ custodian, who has had a very good
season in front of the goals. It will be an interesting match to see
if Kohima Komets can better the scoreline against Tornadoes in the
    return fixture

The Red Warriors from Zunheboto have
to hold their fort against a tough opponent and ensure the midfield
dominating the possession if they have to come out of this game

FC had a disappointing week again after Dimapur United scored
twice to edge out the visiting team last weekend in Dimapur.

Dynamic
FC looks like a rejuvenated team after coming back from behind and
holding on to a 1-1 draw against 2nd placed Barak Flamingoz last
    weekend.

Sangpang FC are placed 7th on the table with 9
points from two wins, and three draws. They are on a bad phase
after salvaging just 1 point from a possible 15 from the last five
    games.

Dynamic FC are still 9th on the table with 8 points
from two wins and two draws. The lads from Dimapur have shown signs
of progress after extracting 5 points in their last five games.

The
Fourth Elements have to address their goal scoring drought as they
have scored just 1 goal in their last five outings. Playing home,
the midfield needs to control the game and thread timely passes to
their strikers who need to be clinical in their finishes.

Dynamic
FC need to tighten up their defense and they have to find the back
of the net more often since they are 2nd from bottom on the
scoring list with just 6 goals in 10 outings.

Key Stats: Goals scored Goals Conceded

Sangpang FC: 7 9

Dynamic FC : 6 15

Key Players:

Sangpang FC: Mangyangmeren, Osen

Dynamic FC : Matthew, Chuba

United are 3rd on the table, 5 points adrift of the league
leaders. They have found the back of the net 18 times and conceded
    on just 6 occasions.

The Blue Assassins are 8th on the
table with 8 points. Their form has been forgettable and they need
to learn to regroup themselves and start winning games.

Dimapur
United were without some of their key players in their last
outing, but managed well against Sangpang. Doyang will need to be
at their defensive best as the homeboys will look to find holes and
gaps and score goals to narrow down the point difference with the
    league leaders.

Doyang FC have a difficult job this week as
Dimapur United have a very good defensive record having conceded
only 6 times. The lads from Wokha need their playmakers and
strikers to find those little spaces and make optimum use of it if they
are to come away with points from this match.

Key Stats: Goals scored Goals Conceded

Dimapur United FC: 18 6

Doyang FC : 8 12

Key Players:

Dimapur United FC: David, Rickden

Doyang FC : Benri, Aben

Flamingoz FC hosts Zonipang SA this Saturday in Kohima after a
disappointing result drawing against Dynamic FC last week.

Zonipang
SA have been breathed into a new life after three consecutive
wins. They played Kohima Komets at home last week and emerged
    victorious by a lone goal.

Barak are still placed 2nd on
the table but after last week’s draw, the gap between them and Naga
Tornadoes have widened to 4 points. With Dimapur United breathing up
their neck, just one point behind and a home game against out-of
–form Doyang, Barak have to win this game to keep them on top of
    their Dimapur rivals.

Zonipang after winning their last three games, leapfrogged from 9th position to now 5th with 14 points.

Barak
has found a new talisman in Pemmi, who has been scoring regularly
and winning games for the Peren based outfit. They have scored 20
goals, and have the best defensive record alongside Tornadoes
    conceding just 5 goals each.

Zonipang have been scant in
finding goals and they need to remedy this situation if they have to
keep up with the table toppers halfway into the season. Against a very
tight defensive team, Zonipang strikers need to be inch-perfect in
their attempts to find the back of the net.

Key Stats: Goals scored Goals Conceded

Barak Flamingoz FC: 20 5

Zonipang SA : 8 17

Key Players:

Barak Flamingoz FC: Pemmi, Velukho

Zonipang SA : Imlikokba, Aoyanger

this weekend will witness a derby when Life Sports FC takes on New
Market FC. Life Sports have been on a good run having beaten
Doyang last week 1-0 extending their unbeaten run to 6 games. In
the last five games, Life Sports have managed to take away 11
    points from a possible 15.

New Market FC dismal run
continues after losing out to Naga Tornadoes last weekend in Kohima.
They have extracted just a solitary point from the last five games.

Life Sports currently place 4th on the table with 5 wins and 3 draws have scored 20 times and conceded 9 goals.

New Market are still bottom of the table with a point having scored just twice and conceding 39 times.

T.Haokip
of Life Sports has been a phenomenal revelation having scored 15
times, the highest in the league and he will play a vital role in
this return fixture. Haokip scored the first hattrick of the NPL
against New Market in the 1st leg, where Life Sports trounced them
    0-6.

Key Stats: Goals scored Goals Conceded

Life Sports FC: 20 9

New Market FC: 2 39

Key Players:

Life Sports FC: T. Kohima Matches: (since I watched them :D )

LSFC 3 - 2 NMFC.. LSFC won in the last seconds through a contentious goal as the striker seems to have handled the ball before scoring. NMFC players worked hard and at most times outplayed the opposition, they recieved a warm round of applause while leaving the ground.

KKFC 0 - 0 FCNT This was an evenly contested match with not much shots on targets. For match review please visit www.kohimakomets.com later when we update the scores and information as they come in.

Remaining matches would have ended by now, but no information on the final scores yet in NPL page.
In Kohima, the crowd was really good, it was expected since FCNT were visiting Komets. Also NMFC and LSFC are local clubs. it was certainly the best crowd in NPL.

Kohima Local ground has the biggest seating capacity, so normally even if we have more crowds than other venues it looks less because people sit everywhere, today, three sides were filled up for the match.
Exciting. The people behind NPL are really great and I am sure this will become a league to reckon with in near future
