Good game for India,win should have been comfortably but thank's to Mr Liability Anwar(To slow to react in 1st goal and then his injury which gave Malaysia extra man advantage in 2nd goal).Sunil Chettri is in top form and I certainly hope he makes it to Rangers in Jan Transfer window and Jeje has to improve a lot with his finishing,you can't miss such sitters.Midfield is where India dominated all credits to solid Baldeep and newcomers Rocus and Francis.
Are u kidding....savio is nowhere near our saviour...am sure in important games he will again bring in climax,dias,clifford,debabrata,anwar etc

my view on match-
2 line view- young and vibrant team was great to watch......same was the disappointment from mecca of indian football(shoulld we call that way so after todays match)
a detailed view of mine-
1.there is always the question in everyones mind of the teams quality striking department...but a bit relief was come after the performance of sunil(he was exceptional today) and jeje(common bro you need to be a bit sharp ahead and get your finishing skills better before going to scotland)
2. what can i say about the midfield----everyone were talking about the missing lalkamal and mehtab,,,,...but for me we were the better side only because of midfield wow what a display from baldeep(one of the best player for us today), romus and dika were completely awesome and even Francis was looking good......
3.with my only concern being the defense....we were a bit leaky at times....
now back to my second point- kolkatta......are you the city which lives and loves football???? please dont say that once again...and dont even dare to ask for a home match in YBK...what is the use the use of having a stadium which is filled only during one match(kolkatta derby).....
why dont even national team match is considered in the list .....at least a half filled stadium(60k) would have been good......but to my surprise not even a 15 k turnout........
Today midfield played very good.Baldeep,Dika both were awesome.Francis and rocus played well in patches.Jeje missed easy sitters and wasted few of the good moves by keeping the ball too long.He needs to learn quickly and should have been replaced by Abranches.Real pain area is defence.We need immediate replacement for Left back and stopper.Debabrata and Anwar both the players are too slow.Samir Naik and Mahesh Gawli surely past their prime.Ideally we should have Robert as LB ,Arnab/Raju as stopper partner for Gourmangi.
The crowd turnout is disaapointing.When I reached stadium merely 500 spectators were there and later on it increased to around 2.5k.I don't think people turn out is less on national team matches in Kolkata.I was there for India Japan WC qualifier and the stadium was more than half filled.Lack of publicity and tv broadcasting might be the reasons.But still it is very shocking.

Excellent short passing in the midfield and build up play (2nd Goal).
Measured long passes ( 1st Goal & few other instances where in we effortlessly switched flanks).
Very few panic defending, we took our time to pass & move forward unlike blind clearances which were very less..
Good goal possession especially towards the end of the game when we didn't allow Malaysia to build a meaningful attack.
Positive attitude in defending lead - our strikers chased down ever ball unlike in the past when it was all about sitting back & absorbing pressure.

Our defense struggled to keep pace with the Malaysian strikers.
All in all it was a very good game played by India. But I feel that they need to strong & fast defenders to stock a quality attacking side. I believe that with some fine tuning our attack is capable of scoring against most teams in Asia & may be few others but our defense has a long way to go..
Hope we find an improvement in the next match..
