What State League are you looking forward to in 2012?

What State Leagues are you guys looking forward to this season. For me I am very interested in the Nagaland Premier League and North-East Premier League, also the soon to be Maha League in Maharashtra is a nice league to be excited about. The reasons I like these leagues is because these teams are commercial entities and each team could qualify for the I-League 2nd Division.

Another league which has caught mine and everyones attention is the Premier League Soccer which will be the new state league of West Bengal. I can tell you that I am more looking forward to its demise than to its upcoming season. I don't know but I think that this league will not work. All they have are players. Most of which Indians don't even know. Stadiums are shit too. Plus I think this league is going beyond there financial budget. These players will stay for one season then leave. Maybe two seasons. I just don't see this "IPL Football League" working.

So ya. Just say which State Leagues you will be looking forward to...

    I hope that the North-East Premier League is a success because this could be the start of Territory Leagues in which all 28 states in India are divided into 7-8 State Leagues and have the top 2 from each state league get promoted to the I-League 2nd Division. This could be like the 3rd Division is a way. Then in order to get promoted into the territory league you have to win your state league (Of course each territory league would have new teams each season).

    Nagaland Premier League I am hoping begins a new type of state league in India in which we get more updates and proper state/city teams. Maha League is supposed to be like this to.

    Premier League Soccer
    (If succeeds, will ensure automatic renovations of the poor stadiums, which wud mean better stadiums for Kolkata League games, more opportunities for non I league footballers + the money and more options for the local followers. Success will also ensure it spreading in other parts of the country)

    North East League
    (if it really happens, then lot more players will come up. Sorry for the regionalist view, but I believe that North East players have the potential to cover 75% of the Indian National team players, maybe more. This is given the fact NE is one of the most underdeveloped places, with less opportunities, still players from there do fantastically well in I league clubs)

    Kolkata League

    (Just look at the teams - Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Prayag United,Techno Aryans, Md. Sporting Club, Southern Samity.....and hoping Pailan will add the Arrows team next season....)

    Bangalore League
    (With hope to see some team coming up to bring back Bangalore in I League map, so that I can keep going to stadium. In any case, it will be nice to monitor some players, who can be recommended to scouts/player agents for better opportunities)

    PLS: Thats of course if it survives. hehe <!-- s:handgestures-thumbup: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/handgestures/thumbup.gif" alt=":handgestures-thumbup:" title="Thumb Up" /><!-- s:handgestures-thumbup: -->

    NEPL: This will surly be a success. Crowds will be wild. Plus the winner gets into the 2nd Division.

    KL: I would still like to see the IFA put more work into the Kolkata League.

    BL: Still needs a massive renovation but still will be interesting. Lets go Bangalore United FC

    i would go for a south indian premier league as all the southern states are struggling to find quality teams to be good enough to consistent in i-league...may be a 6-8 team league format with 1-2 teams from each states(kerala, karnataka, A.P and tamil nadu)this could mean there wont be any shortage in quality contest and also would give a much intense competition and result the participating teams becoming a strong team to reach the top division..

    I was going to suggest something like that later today. Regional Leagues should be the plan. I will explain more later today on the "Suggestions for Indian Football" thread
