may be mccarthy would have somehow kept the team afloat..but since his departure the result had turned from bad to worse

Thing is that the Wolverhampton owner thought it was better to spend money on getting the stadium from a 27,000 seater to a 40,000 seater instead of buying players to make sure they would be Premier League regulars. Now imagine all the financial difficulties, can they even pay off the new expansion of the stadium!!! This is why I hate relegation.</div>

Wolves will get money from the Premier League and that money will be spent on the debt gathered from the stadium expansion. But then what will they spend on players. Wolves will be a mid-table team next year with a 40,000 seater stadium that gets 15,000-20,000 people a game. Not looking good.</div><div><br></div><div>Plus England has many historic and fully-professional clubs to do pro/rel while India does not even have 10 fully professional clubs.</div>

Wolves returning to English Premier League after 6 years

Wolves have occupied top spot since October and achieved promotion with four games to spare. Wolves are nine points ahead of second-place Cardiff.

Wolverhampton Wanderers secured a return to the English Premier League after a six-year absence. Promotion was clinched by the runway League Championship leader without playing, thanks to Fulham conceding a stoppage-time goal to draw with Brentford 1-1 on Saturday.

Wolves players watched the game on television and were filmed anxiously watching the closing seconds before embracing in celebrations.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves, who have won 28 of their 42 games in the second tier, don’t play until Sunday.

Wolves have occupied top spot since October and achieved promotion with four games to spare. Attention will now turn to clinching the title, with Wolves nine points ahead of second-place Cardiff.

Wolves managing director Laurie Dalrymple credits Santo, a former Porto and Valencia coach, with spearheading the team’s revival since taking charge last year.

“What he has brought in has been fantastic,” Dalrymple told Sky Sports. “He came in, he changed the playing style. We’ve recruited well and he’s galvanized the group really strongly in a very short space of time.

“And very, very quickly he had us playing a different style of football than we’d been accustomed to, and a brand of football that was delivering results really quickly.”

I love certain english clubs like wolves, Leeds, Sheffield united, Birmingham, Aston Villa, Everton just because their stadium atmosphere is good to see on TV.

I would definitely want to see Leeds united back into premier league.

Leeds United fans don't want to come back in the PL. They feel too much restriction on fans in PL is not good for them.
