The All-India Football Federation listed 16 senior women players to attend a coaching camp at SAI Centre, Lucknow from January 20 to March 17 to prepare for the Olympic qualifying rounds.

The team: K. Rebika Devi, A. Romi, Y. Kamala, O. Bembem, M. Mandakini, Th. Tababi, Ng. Bala, L. Naobi, H. Bijaya, S. Rina Roy, L. Ashalata, Y. Premi, N. Monteshori, Th. Umapati, O. Roshni and G. Radharani Devi.

Indian women's team ranking is 56 among 127 ranked countries

Very recently we were taken away from ranking list for not playing for a long time...but the team came back for SAFF women's football...rather strongly...won the tournament by scoring 40 goals and conceding none in 5 matches!!!!
The results were :

India 18 - 0 Bhutan
India 7 - 0 Sri Lanka
India 6 - 0 Bangladesh
India 8 - 0 Pakistan
India 1 - 0 Nepal (Final)

The match against Uzbeks was played yesterday where they thrashed us 5-1!
