1990s was a golden period as far as Music Industry was considered. Not only India but American Hip-Hop, MTV and across all genres. Audio Cassettes/CD, Boom-Box and MTV Videos. Now this digital revolution has killed the revenue. Nobody purchase any CD. All free now!!!! Less revenue means poor quality also. Even Remix and Punjabi is of poor quality nowadays.
We grew up during those times and boy! weren't those exciting times; also transition time, when the economy was opened up in the mid-1990s and we were suddenly transported from our very own Doordarshan to a glut of channels, with the likes of Star and Zee and Sony providing round-the-clock entertainment, from our daily ration of 'Chitrahar' and 'Rangoli' and one/two films per week to non-stop showbiz, from watching films once in a while on VCRs to cheap access on DVDs and CDs. As you said, if we get everything free and that too like instant coffee, you do not prize them anymore. As A.G. Gardiner said, 'If diamonds were as plentiful as pebbles, we wouldn't stoop to pick them up.'

AND COMPARE IT WITH THIS:
Just notice the difference in class, from the singing, to the picturization and the acting!
