@ArsenalFan700 Dont think u r correct this time..Indian teams performance has deteriorated, hence probably the attendance was low in the previous few matches.. Believe me I have seen over 40000 spectators in saltlake stadium for India match (It was world cup qualifier vs japan which we lost 4-0)...
Also if there is even 1 international star of recognition from any of recognized renowned countries like Brazil, attendance will sky rocket in kolkata..And dont compare with Prayag because a clubs match is always fan based....

But yea whatever it is, I do not see this league anywhere improving anything in football...But still keeping my fingers crossed..
That match was Japan though, you are bound to get fans for them. And the Kolkata franchise will not get a marquee name from Brazil. If they did then I would say that there is a chance of survival but the IMG-League would be more focused on guys like Jay-Jay who I doubt many, if any, Indians actually know. The super over-30 players like Yossi Benayoon are bound to join MLS, the Middle-East, and/or China and Australia. These leagues pay and market them well and the fan response is amazing. Plus hospitality and many other luxuries. You will not get that in India.

I will admit that I was wrong in comparing to Prayag.

Edit: Scratch that, Prayag is shit and their attendance is shit as well. End of story. They had a few good games but then they fall down. Salt Lake Stadium, practically empty.

All those rosy dreams IMG showed us When IMG and AIFF tie up for 700 crores for 15 years was announced , the indian football fraternity was rejoicing..now just 2 years hence we are at a all time low..such a irony

I am still unable to get a answer to this question..When AFC states that I-league MUST be a seperate Legal entity to be considered a professional league...how will this ever be possible when AIFF has signed d League rights to IMG...

IMG-R reminds me of East India Company. Both came with the promis to help Improve, then slowly started taking over the hole thing, then started to rule. And when protests started against it , used the Devide and rule police.
