Pakistan kept 1-0 lead against former Champion India until 67th minute and conceded three goals in the last 23 minutes.

Pakistan and India are all time rivals, either it is sports or it is social economic platform they stand face to face. Sports is the field where public love to watch them playing against each other, mostly India and Pakistan meet in cricket, football and hockey matches and make game more than just a game.

India and Pakistan have enjoyed a huge rivalry post-independence in every sport, both the nations have participated in since, be it Hockey,Football, Cricket, Kabaddi. Thailand-based Zesh Rehman rescued Pakistan when he denied Jeje a clear-cut 10th minute opportunity.

Pakistan players trying to slow down the match and they have enjoyed a fair share of possession with both Rizwan Asif and Faisal Iqbal both were looking lively for Pakistan.
WAPDA’s defender Manzoor Ahmed returned back. He was not allowed by AFC to appear in Monday’s clash against Turkmenistan. According to Match Commissioner Manirul Islam (Bangladesh), he was suspended following a Red Card against Uzbekistan in the 36th Asian U19 Champion at Takhti Stadium, Iran on 10 December 2009.It was first half action during which Yemeni Referee Saleh Al-Yarimi had shown Manzoor the Yellow Card in the 30th minute, followed by Red Card six minutes later.

Pakistan led 1-0 at interval.

India went all out in quest of equalizer and wasted two corners in the 50th minute but their repeated attacks and substitution earned them the leveler in the 67th minute with young Mizoram-born Jeje Lalpekhula ( Indian Arrows), accelerated onto Sunil’s pass, beat Amir Gul all ends up. It was second goal for Jeje in as many event’s matches

Confident India gear up for Turkmenistan test

India will look continue its undefeated streak and to emerge Group B topper when they take on Turkmenistan in their last Group match of the AFC Challenge Cup 2012 qualifying round to be played at the MBPJ Stadium, Petaling Jaya ,Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
Both the teams have already qualified for the final round of the AFC Challenge Cup 2012 having won their last two matches respectively.
India defeated Chienese Taipei 3-0 in their opening encounter, while they proved too good to their arch-rivals Pakistan defeating them 3-1 on Wednesday.
Turkmenistan on the other hand, edged past Pakistan 3-0 in their first match and scored a facile 2-0 victory against Chinese Taipei in the last match.
Jeje Lalpekhlua is in the form of his life and has scored 3 goals in two matches with skipper Sunil Chhetri too playing his part superbly. The duo of Rakesh Masih and Jagpreet Singh have given stability in the midfield with Steven Dias, but with India already qualified for the final round, Indian coach will surely give a chance to the youngsters.
The back-four too have been solid right from the outset with Subrata Paul providing the ample support in the goal. India have so far scored six and conceded one goal, which tells the success story of the Men in Blue.
The Indian team had an hour’s training session at University Putra Malaysia Ground in the evening. India had last played Turkmenistan in the AFC Challenge Cup 2008 at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad and defeated them 2-1 in August 2008.
It’s surely the mission accomplished for Bob Houghton and prior to their last tie against Turkmenistan, he said,’’ It’s good to have already qualified and it was always high on our agenda. We came here with the motive to mark a place in the final round.’’
‘’It does gives us the opportunity to play the younger boys tomorrow, which surely is exciting as they will probably be playing the best team of the three we played.’’ He added.
‘’It will be a real test for the young ones and it’s always important to give them the right exposure and that’s why we brought them here. Also the fact that senior team has already won the two games allow us to make these changes tomorrow.’’ The Briton further added.
‘’Jeje, Subrata and Anwar will play, otherwise it will the boys who have not played yet,’’ said the former China coach.
He was full praise for Jeje , who has been in sublime form this year and congratulated the former Pune FC striker and said,’’ We should congratulate Jeje for his performance here for scoring three goals in two matches in his debut for the National team. It’s indeed a remarkable performance and to add to this, his four goals he scored in the last round match of the I-League, it makes seven goals in three games, which shows his superb goal scoring form.’’ The Englishman concluded

good experience over all .. Bob got to try 2 new strikers up front and jeje's performance should be enough to keep sushil on the bench from now on for other competitions.

maldives, phillipines, tajikistan, (north korea?) quailified.. need to watch out for phillipines next round. not sure if we can it through next year

I cant digest the fact that -
the blood & sweat shed by the
Indian cricketers to bring glory to
    India is worth millions whereas
the blood & sweat shed by the
    indian footballers to bring glory
to India is hardly worth a penny.
