a salute to AIFF for finally taking things seriously and arranging friendlies... india will get thrashed though..but no regrets
If South Africa play even close to full strength then expect atleast a 4-0 scoreline..remember more than half their players play in England or have played there plus in many more european clubs...if I remember corectly then before the WC they beat Thailand at home 4-0..
Don't be pessimistic guys... there is still time for them to prepare, the SAAF cup should be used for this purpose... I would say that a friendly against a full strengh SA team is more important than SAAF Cup....Hope we do well

Well said. There is no reason to get pessimistic. Our football is on the rise.

I totally agree with you on the experience of the SA players... But I am sure that if Indians play a decent game (which they have been able to do in the resent past), then we are in for a good chance.. may be not a win or draw... but even a respectable loss (2-1 or 3-2) shouldn't be taken as a bad sign.
I personally don't evaluate a team just on the basis of the result... football is a game which is very unfair sometimes... you can enjoy 70% possession, have 20 shots on targets compared to the 1 by the other team and still loose the match 1-0.. Having said that results do matter but it is effort that will help a team in the long run..
I was very much impressed by the fight show by our team against UAE (though we lost 5-2).. It is a clear enough indication that we are on the way up..
I sincerely believe that we should back our team to do well is South Africa..
i donot check the result of the match but the players playing well are my first thoughts. but the results matter in our rankings so we have to win more matches than we lose to improve our rankings which is a must.
