Thats a very good suggestion. In fact we were thinking of creating such thing. But were apprehensive about its worth. But now that fans like you have thought about it, we think we should go ahead with this. What we can do as of now is create a WIKI for Indian football database. But it would need participation of the fans who will update. You guys can add unlimited data in that wiki. We are small organisation of fans who have put in our money for Indian Football. In case the hosting space is a limit, we can spend a little more to cover that. But first and foremost thing is that we have to organise a team of volunteers who will do it.
In case we have a team ready, we will start the wiki instantly. Hoping for response from all the members and future would-be members.
So, whoever wants to be part of the team and work for it, put your names here.

will the rules be same as wikipedia? you can count me in
I have a few suggestions regarding the database thingy -
1) 1st even before we start IFN should show us samples of how this thing looks like, I mean we should first be convinced about it. Wiki style is good as people are aquainted with it. It will be a good a way to go if possible.
2) We initially have to forget about a large group. Coz I have seen such initiatives in IFF also, lot of ppl volunteer but eventually interest fizzes out and only handful of ppl do it. So, even if we have less active people we sud just give it a try rather than wait for a big team...coz initiative is the most important thing. Later on I will also try to learn and contribute, although I will do a little less.

As of now Indian Football lacks proper Database and I'm always ready for something like this.
Ok guys, give us a week. Will surely reply in positive. Till then give suggestions on what kind of contents you want.
Reply here, we will also open a thread on IFN database and then move the posts there.
We have started the work to create MediaWIKI based Indian Football Database (IFDB). We will start this on experimental basis for 8 months. If we see it being even marginally successful, we will go full throttle. Currently we are troubleshooting certain aspects of it. Hoping to launch it ASAP.

It contains a huge database but for us India is enough(National Teams + I-League 1 and 2 + State Leagues If possible)
P.S :- I'm definitely not aware of costs etc,so you can always take your own decision.
