MYFC report

Crowd -
Kids from participating teams, Bangalore stadium and football association authorities, Ex-Indian players from Bangalore, 4 coaches from Celtic

Media Coverage -
Big FM, The Hindu, Indian Football Network Forum (That's me), 90 Minutes magazine and Football in Bangalore blog and facebook (Subhojyoti Da, he recently wrote for 90 minutes), Few other journalists.

Match Report -
Pandua High School won 5-0. Very organised team. Mainly had three attackers, with full backs coming up to support them, defence untested. Delhi team was playing 1 man upfront, and 3 Central defenders, totally outplayed by experience. Both teams keep ball, but Delhi team was giving too many mispasses. The 4th goal by Sunil Tudu was a class goal which will make any i league player proud. From the left side, edge of the box he took a shot aimed at right corner, defenders and goalie had no chance. At the end Pandua goalie gifted a ball to Delhi striker, who was fouled by the defender in the box. Penalty was given. Delhi player hit the right post, the rebound was hit over the bar by another Delhi player who had no pressure and only goalie to beat.

Controversy -
During prize ceremony, Mr. Khalil (has some post in Karnataka football and AIFF) was very critical about over-age players (I can tell u that lot of players were overage). He only singled out Goa team for bringing under age players (unprofessional comment without scientific tests). Goa team players clearly looked kids in front of most other teams, esp. the Pandua team players. MYFC Organisers had a strong word for the same issue, saying they will have medical tests next year. Mr. Khalil talked about the AIFF academy trails in Kalyani (where most players were over-age). He directly said, its cheating and coaches need to take care of that.

Previous players who went to celtic -
they also came. Could't talk to the Bangalore boy, but talked to the two Kolkata boys. Both are in school, one of them is in East Bengal u16 and another in SAI, Salt Lake, kolkata.

Prizes -
Winner - 50K
Runners - 30K
<ul style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: left;">
Best Defender: Sufaid Ali, Kerala

Best Midfielder: Mangal Murmu, Pandua

Best Striker: Jayanta Murmu, Pandua

Best Goalie : Anuj Kumar, Delhi
