@gaffertape aaye not us , paul is behind it and this is season 4 , finally officially approved from DSA , Officially Supported by EPL , But League is good ... They build own ground for this season ! They might have kids from rich family but i have seen many NGO playing there in free and they were provided football gears by organizer and transport also.. Anglian also supporting it now.
I heard in a recent game ...not sure if it was Subrato Cup or some local league in Delhi...that Some foreign "academies" played..i think Arsenal Soccer Schools beat PSG 7-2 but it wasn't allowed to be reported for fear 9f negative publicity.
Also what happened to Reliance Young Champions in the Subrato Cup ? Is that also been hushed up ?
Though not related to Indian youth football, but wanted to share about the J Leage U-17 cup..Hope India U-17 or some academy gets to participate in this next year
Yokohama F. Marinos were named champions of the 2015 J.League Under-17 Challenge Cup, held between September 21 and 23.
The debut edition of the tournament had featured the five group stage winners of the 2015 J.League U-16 Challenge League.
F.Marinos, Kashima Antlers, JEF United Chiba, Matsumoto Yamaga and Chonburi FC(Thailand) all received the recognition of participating in the inaugural competition.
These teams were joined by South Korea’s Ulsan Hyundai, Vietnam’s PVF and China’s Hangzhou Greentown at the tournament at J-GREEN SAKAI in Osaka.
F. Marinos finished second in the group stage before beating both Antlers and Yamaga 3-1 in the semi-final and final respectively.
Striker Ryota Kawaraji, who scored two goals in the final, was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
