Kartepe is a famous ski Resort in Turkey.  It looks like they jumped from this chair-lift cable cars.

Even if the car was stuck, why did they jump? 
Cable cars sometime get stuck. I, myself have faced similar situation.

Yes. Right now it is unlikely to have any snow.  Temperatures are 20 plus there. Instead of snow, they must have fell on hard ground. Panic, stupidity I suppose !!!

In India chair lift cable cars are there only in Gulmarg.. However you need a professional skiing license to ride them

lot of Cable Cars / Ropeway / Chair Lift in India - Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Rajasthan Himachal, Bihar

But I think that Chair Lift at Ski Resort (hence called ski-lift) as in pic above can be found at Gulmarg and Auli.
